Marc Ventura is a UEFA-licensed football coach based in Barcelona, Spain, with over 25 years of experience in youth player development. Throughout his career, he has worked with players of all ages and competitive levels, from grassroots to high performance, combining sporting excellence with holistic player development.
He holds a degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences from the University of Barcelona, providing a strong academic and scientific foundation to his training methodology and performance development approach.
As a former professional futsal player for FC Barcelona and other prominent Spanish clubs — competing at top national levels — Marc brings a deep understanding of the game shaped by direct experience within elite environments and the Spanish player-development model.
For several years, he served as director of one of the RCD Espanyol football schools, leading programs focused on the technical, tactical, and personal growth of young players. He also spent many years working at Fundación Marcet, a world-renowned high-performance academy, specializing in advanced technical training and the development of “intelligent football.”
Currently, Marc is Director of Sports at Viaró Global School, an international all-boys school, where he oversees an extensive athletic program and a football academy with more than 500 players, promoting excellence within a global educational environment. He is also the founder and director of Takeball, a company specialized in organizing sports tours in Barcelona for teams and academies from around the world.
Marc remains actively connected to elite football as a member of the FC Barcelona Legends team, participating in recent charity matches (2025) alongside international stars such as Deco and Javier Saviola.
His methodology is rooted in the Spanish development model and in principles learned from the FC Barcelona methodology, with a strong emphasis on “brain football” and the development of players’ soccer IQ. His approach focuses on individual technical mastery, game intelligence, decision-making, and tactical understanding, aiming to develop players who can think, anticipate, and solve real game situations effectively.
Marc prioritizes cognitive development within the game, helping players read space, interpret context, make decisions under pressure, and adapt to different competitive scenarios. His goal is to develop creative, autonomous, and complete players within a demanding, positive, and highly motivating environment, where learning occurs through realistic game situations and modern player-centered training principles.
